While at Southern, Alexandra received the highest honor in her Trial Advocacy class for being the strongest litigator in a simulated trial. She was also a member of the Howard University Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity, Inc.

Alexandra Lawson was born and raised in Chicago, IL to a Jamaican family. Both of her parents migrated to the United States from Jamaica to offer Alexandra the opportunity for a more fruitful life. She attended Howard University and received her Bachelor’s of Arts in English with a minor in Criminal Justice. It was there that she developed a strong sense of justice and equality for all. She later graduated from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, LA.

Alexandra always knew that she wanted to be the voice for the voiceless. Her passion for criminal justice stems from growing up watching how institutional racism has plagued black and brown communities and filtered people from those communities through the system. Alexandra’s passion and drive are unmatched.
